Injury collision on US 460 in Morgan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On March 7, 2011, at 2:07 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead received a call of a single vehicle injury accident on US 460 approximately one mile west of Ezel. Trooper Joseph Zalone, Trooper Royce Collett, Morgan County EMS, and Black Water Fire Department responded to the scene. Frank Brown was traveling east on US 460. Mr. Brown attempted to avoid a tractor that was crossing the roadway. Mr. Brown lost control of his 2005 Hyundai Tucson and exited the east bound shoulder of US 460. The vehicle struck a ditch and an embankment before coming to final rest. Mr. Brown did not sustain any injuries in the accident. Mr. Brown's passenger, Barbara Ferguson, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Morgan ARH by Morgan County EMS. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Joseph Zalone.
