Drug Arrest in Wolfe County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On March 15th, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. hours, Wolfe County Dispatch Center received an anonymous tip, stating that Timothy D. McCarty was trafficking in Marijuana and was currently on Washington Street, in Wolfe County, in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck. Trooper Brandon Eversole, Trooper Britt Rollins and Trooper Erwin Eiserman responded to the area. Trooper Brandon Eversole observed the vehicle on Washington Street and initiated a traffic stop for excessive window tint. After further investigation and search a one pound brick of Marijuana was recovered. Mr. McCarty was charged with Trafficking in Marijuana (8 OZ to < 5 LBS.) 1st Offense and Trafficking Controlled Substance within 1000 yards of a School. He was lodged into the Three Forks Regional Detention Center, Beattyville. Incident remains under investigation by Trooper Brandon Eversole.
