Drug Arrest in Bath County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On March 27, 2011, Kentucky State Police in Morehead arrived at 57 Back Alley, Sharpsburg, KY to perform a knock-and-talk interview with Jimmy Burgess. Trooper Anson Tribby and Trooper Michael Armstrong received information of suspicious activity at this residence. Information obtained during the interview of Mr. Burgess led to a search of his person which resulted in the confiscation of drugs and his subsequent arrest. Jimmy Burgess was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offence, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Anson Tribby.
