Injury collision on Flemingsburg Road in Rowan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On April 23rd, 2011 at 1808 hours, Kentucky State Police Morehead was notified by Rowan County Dispatch of an injury accident at 7050 Flemingsburg Road. Trooper Michael Wathen responded to the scene. Samantha Kenley was operating a 1994 Toyota Camry westbound on Flemingsburg Road, when she struck a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling westbound in the rear end, operated by Teresa Howell. Ms. Howell was slowing down to make a right turn off of the roadway with her right turn signal on. Ms. Kenley was transported to Saint Clarie Medical Center by Rowan County Emergency Services, were she was treated and released. After further investigation it was found that Ms. Kenley had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Fleming County for Speeding 23 mph Over the Limit. Ms. Kenley was arrested without incident and is currently lodge at the Rowan County Detention Center. Accident remains under investigation by Trooper Michael Wathen.
