Three arrested in Bath County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On May 27, 2011, Trooper Anson Tribby and Trooper Michael Armstrong responded to Bethel Ridge Rd. in Sharpsburg, KY. Troopers responded to the scene in reference to a warrant service on David Tapp. Mr. Tapp was located inside of the residence, along with signs of drug activity. Two other subjects were inside the residence, Paul Hatton and Danielle Smith, both of Sharpsburg. Mr. Hatton was taken into custody for outstanding warrants from Montgomery and Nicholas counties. Mr. Hatton was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance not in Proper Container. Ms. Smith was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance not in Proper Container.

A large amount of narcotics were located inside the residence and were taken into evidence. All subjects have been lodged at the Montgomery County Detention Center. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Anson Tribby and Trooper Michael Armstrong.
