Fatal ATV Crashon KY 409 in Elliott County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- David Marshall was operating a 2008, Yamaha Grizzly, ATV traveling north on Ky 409 when he lost control of the vehicle. He was then thrown from the vehicle and landed in the road striking his head. Mr. Marshall was airlifted to Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in West Virginia for treatment. At 2150 hours, on June 21, 2011, Mr. Marshall succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by Cabell County, West Virginia Coroner Todd Ferguson. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Joseph Zalone.
