Wanton Endangerment investigation and arrest

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On July 3, 2011, at 8:39 PM, Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a call in reference to Delmar C. Jent threatening to shoot a neighbor's dog, firing shots near residences, and driving a vehicle while intoxicated. Sergeant Jeff Lewis, Trooper David Zimmerman, Trooper Michael Wathen, Trooper Nathan Shortridge, Trooper Anson Tribby and KSP-Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Dennis Johnson responded to the scene at 250 Cold Springs Hollow. Mr. Jent was taken into custody and charged with ten counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol .08 (Aggravating Circumstance) 1st Offense. Mr. Jent was lodged at the Rowan County Detention Center. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper David Zimmerman.
