Missing juvenile investigation in Bath County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On July 6, 2011 at 11:48 a.m. Kentucky State Police Morehead Dispatch received information from Trooper Nathan Shortridge that he was assisting the Bath County Sheriff's Office on a missing juvenile complaint on KY 36 West, near Sharpsburg. Trooper Shortridge along with several other Kentucky State Police Morehead units arrived at the scene where a 5 year old female juvenile had walked away from her grandmother's residence around 9:45 a.m. The juvenile was last seen eating breakfast around 9:30 a.m. and after putting up clothes in a bedroom, the grandmother noticed the juvenile was missing from the kitchen. After a search of the area, the juvenile was later located across from her residence in a field off Peck's Pike Road. No charges are pending. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Nathan Shortridge.
