Felony Arrest in Wolfe County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On July 21, 2011 at approximately 12:00 a.m. the Wolfe County Sheriff's Office contacted the Morehead State Police Post requesting assistance on a shots fired complaint on Sandy Ridge Road. Kentucky State Police Trooper Charles Bolin and three Wolfe County Sheriff's Deputies arrived at 704 Sandy Ridge Road. Mr. Jarrod R. Hylton's brother, who is the primary resident, assisted in locating Jarrod Hylton, who was nearby hiding in the woods. Trooper Bolin identified himself as Mr. Hylton responded by firing one shot and then fled deeper into the woods.
At 8:19 a.m. Kentucky State Police Morehead Dispatch received additional information that Jarrod Hylton was back at the residence. Kentucky State Police Morehead units arrived at the residence. Mr. Hylton was immediately located outside the residence and apprehended without incident. Mr. Hylton has been charged with four counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree-Police Officer, one count of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon. Mr. Hylton has been lodged at the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville, KY. The case remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Morehead.
