Bomb Threat at the Family Dollar Distribution Center

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On August 17th, 2011 at 9:28 p.m. Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a call from Family Dollar Distribution Center in reference to a Bomb Threat. Sergeant Jim Bowling, Trooper Keith Howard and Trooper Patrick Zalone responded to the scene. All employees were evacuated from the building, Trooper Jerry Handy arrived on scene with his canine to conduct a search of the building. Kentucky State Police Post 8 Troopers along with the canine unit searched the building and was unable to find any explosive devices. On August 18th, 2011 at 1:30 a.m. Family Dollar Distribution Center was able to resume normal working conditions. The incident remains under investigation by Trooper Keith Howard.
