Injury collision on Rice Road in Rowan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- Nancy L. Penry of Morehead was operating a 2004 Mercury Monterey van on Primrose Drive when she attempted to turn onto Rice Road and into the path of Daniel J. Stevens of Morehead. Stevens was traveling East on Rice Road in a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro when Penry pulled into his path of travel. Stevens was unable to avoid Penry and struck the vehicle in the left driver's side fender. Penry and Stevens were both transported by Rowan County E.M.S. to Saint Claire Medical Center in Morehead where they were treated for minor injuries and released. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Josh Preece.
