Injury collision on KY1693 in Menifee County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On September 10, 2011 at 2:43 PM. Kentucky State Police in Morehead was contacted by Menifee Dispatch and advised of a two vehicle injury accident on KY1693. Trooper Scott Ferrell, Menifee EMS, and Menifee Fire/Rescue responded to the scene. Scott Pennington was traveling north bound on KY1693 when he attempted to make a right turn, he lost control of his motorcycle, crossed over into the south bound lane and struck a 2011 Ford Edge, operated by Martina Roe. After striking the vehicle Mr. Pennington slid from the point of impact and came to a final rest after striking the guard rail. Scott Pennington was flown from the scene to UK Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition. Neither Martina Roe or James Roe sustained any injury in the accident. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Scott Ferrell.
