Search Warrant And Arrest in Montgomery County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On October 31, 2011, at 12:15 AM, Kentucky State Police in Morehead received information that Megan Sparks, and James Collett were residing at 412 Jackson Street in Mt. Sterling. Trooper Nathan Shortridge, Trooper Michael Armstrong, and the Mt. Sterling Police Department responded to the residence. Both subjects had outstanding warrants for their arrest. Upon arrival, Trooper Shortridge and Trooper Armstrong discovered a stolen laptop computer. Troopers obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence. Stolen computers, jewelry, and coins were recovered from the residence. Megan Sparks and James Collett were both charged and arrested on local warrants and for Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000. The case remains under investigation by Trooper Nathan Shortridge.
