Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000 investigation

(Morehead, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police in Morehead has been investigating a cattle theft ring in Bath County. On October 25, 2011, David Fitzpatrick contacted Sergeant Jim Bowling and advised him that cattle have been stolen from his farm, starting in August. Sergeant Bowling investigated the matter and determined that William Potter and Jarrod Little had been stealing cattle from Fitzpatrick's farm on Mt. Pleasant Road. The two subjects were selling them to Danny Rice and Chris Rice, in the Olympia area of Bath County. At this time, 8 cattle have been recovered from the Rice Farm. Jarrod Little and William Potter have been arrested and charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500 - Livestock. Danny and Christopher Rice have been arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000.
Danny Rice, Christopher Rice & Jarrod Little have been lodged in the Montgomery County Jail. The case remains under investigation by Sergeant Jim Bowling.
