Montgomery County Detention Center Escape Inmate Turns Himself In

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On December 18, 2011 at 11:30 p.m. David H. Tidwell IV turned himself in at the Montgomery County Detention Center.

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On December 16, 2011 at 02:23 a.m. Kentucky State Police Post 8, Morehead was notified by Montgomery County Dispatch of the escape of a male inmate from the Montgomery County Detention Center. David H. Tidwell IV, a trustee at the detention center, had walked out the front door around 12:30 a.m. and fled the area on foot. Tidwell was serving a sentence for Robbery 1st Degree and Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree. David H. Tidwell IV is described as 28 years of age, white male, 6'3", weighing 195 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes. Tidwell was last seen wearing a brown shirt, gray pants, blue tennis shoes and a baseball cap. The incident is being investigated by Trooper Scott Ferrell. Should anyone observe David H.
