Death Investigation of an Scottsville Woman

(Bowling Green, KY.) -- On Monday, June 11, 2012, at 6:03 pm Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to 441 Barren River Dam Road in Allen County KY in reference to a death investigation.

According to Detective Erik Salman's preliminary investigation, when Trooper Jason Lanham arrived at this residence he located a female victim lying in the floor deceased.

The female victim is identified as, Chelsey N. Mahaney (22) of Scottsville, KY. Ms. Mahaney was pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County Coroners Office.

The victim will be transported to the Kentucky Medical Examiners office in Louisville where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

The Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Allen County Sheriffs office, Allen County Coroners office and the Allen County Ambulance service.
