Caretaker Arrested on Felony Charges

(Bowling Green, KY.) -- On Tuesday, June 19, 2012, Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green arrested Sandra Hughes (33) of Horse Cave, Kentucky, and charged her with the following charges:

1. Knowingly Abuse/Neglect of Adult Person
2. Theft of Controlled Substance

The charges were the result of a joint investigation between KSP Post 3 and Kentucky State Police Special Investigations.

According to Trooper Joel Huff, Sandra Hughes working as a paid caretaker allegedly stole medication from her patient that was under her care.

Sandra Hughes was lodged in the Hart County Jail.

Trooper Joel is leading the investigation and was assisted by Trooper Ronnie Reynolds and Kentucky State Police Special Investigations Detectives.
