Methamphetamine Lab Investigation and Arrest in Laurel County

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 5:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 in London responded to a home on Seeley Road in Laurel County to assist the Laurel County Department of Social Services with a referral complaint.
Upon arrival Trooper Lloyd Cochran could smell a strong chemical odor emanating from the residence. Trooper Cochran made contact with a female identified as Teresa A. Clontz, 39, of Seeley Road, London. Items that are known to be used in the Manufacturing of Methamphetamine were observed and further investigation uncovered four (4) Methamphetamine labs.
Trooper Cochran arrested Clontz on the following charges:
Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors
Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree
Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense (4 Counts).
Clontz was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
A 7 year old child that was located in the home was taken into protective custody and released to a family member. The child was taken to the Saint Joseph of London Hospital as a precaution.
Trooper Cochran is continuing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Chris Roberts and the Laurel County Department of Social Services.
