KSP Trooper Island Raffle Features 2013 Chevrolet Camaro 1ss Coupe

Trooper Island Raffle Car - 2013, Red, Chevrolet, Camaro, 1SS Coupe

(Frankfort, KY.) -- The Kentucky State Police, Post 12 Frankfort and Trooper Island Inc. announce the 2013 Trooper Island Raffle to help raise funding for the Trooper Island Children´s Camp.

This years raffle item is a 2013, Red, Chevrolet, Camaro, 1SS Coupe that boasts a 6.2 Liter V8 engine, 6 Speed automatic transmission, black interior with bucket seats, 20 inch aluminum wheels, remote start, Boston Acoustics 9 speaker audio system, rear vision camera system, etc.

To purchase a ticket you may stop by the Kentucky State Police Post in Frankfort or by contacting any Kentucky State Police Trooper

Tickets are only $10.00 each and the drawing for the winning ticket will be held Sunday, August 25, 2013, at 3:00 p. m. (EDT) at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville, KY.

All proceeds go to Trooper Island Inc, a summer camp for children, which is located on Dale Hollow Lake in Clinton County, Trooper Island is a free summer camp for underprivileged boys and girls age 10-12. It is financed entirely by donations. No public funds are used. Each year, the camp hosts approximately 700 children, providing good food, fresh air, recreation, guidance and structured, esteem-building activities designed to build good citizenship and positive relationships with law enforcement officers.

It is a place where the tensions and turmoil of everyday lives can be forgotten; and for one week young people can be given a touch of hope and desire of a better tomorrow.

There is no cost to the campers who attend Trooper Island and there are no restrictions based on race, creed or color. The camp gets some of its funding through activities the 16 Kentucky State Police post put on during the year.

The Frankfort Post raises funds by the Trooper Island Motorcycle Poker Run and our Post 12 Trooper Island Golf scramble each year.
