Wanted Fugitive Robbery of Inez Deposit Bank

(Ashland, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland is seeking the publics assistance in locating a wanted fugitive from Louisa, KY.

James G. Stepp, age 33, is wanted by the Kentucky State Police on the following charge:

Robbery 2nd Degree

The charge stems from the continued investigation of the Inez Deposit Bank robbery which occurred on Friday June 14, 2013.

The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for any information related to this case or the location of Stepp. Callers may remain anonymous and can call the Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555 or 1-606-928-6421.

(Ashland, KY) -- On Friday June 14, 2013 The Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland received a call of a robbery at the Inez Deposit Bank located at 202 East Main Street Louisa, KY.

Picture of Robbery SuspectAt approximately 1455 hours an unidentified male entered the bank and demanded cash from a teller. The male was wearing a red and black baseball cap, khaki pants, long sleeve patterned shirt over a white tee shirt with the letters WAX visible on the front of the shirt.

Picture of Robbery SuspectThe male obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before exiting the bank through the back door. The male then fled the area on foot on Lock Avenue traveling toward Madison Street.

The male is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slender build.

The following agencies responded and assisted during the course of the investigation: Louisa Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff's Department.

The case remains under investigation by Detective Jeff Kelley.
