Injury Collision on KY 283 in Henderson County

(Henderson, KY) -- Philip Dixon was operating his 2002 Ford F-250 traveling south on KY 283. Dixon stated that he took his attention off of the road to reach for an object in the vehicle when he lost control. Dixon's vehicle left the roadway off of the right side of the road into an earth embankment. Dixon then attempted to gain control of his vehicle, when it abruptly went across the roadway into an earth embankment on the left side of the road coming to final rest. The passenger, Cooper Troxell-Marlor, was injured during the collision with seat belt burns to his neck area. Troxell-Marlor was transported to Methodist Hospital and treated for his injuries.
