Post 16 Graduates its Fifth Citizens Police Academy

Post 16 - Henderson CPA Grads

(Henderson, KY) -- On Thursday, December 12, 2013, the Kentucky State Police Post 16 - Henderson graduated 11 local people from the post's Citizen's Police Academy. The classes were held at the Henderson County Cooperative Extension Service in Henderson (Henderson County), KY. The 11-week academy started on September 19, 2013 and concluded December 12, 2013.

The ceremony was held at the Cooperative Extension Service in Henderson where Captain Robert Shoultz, Commander of Post 16-Henderson, was on hand to assist Trooper Corey King present the participants with their graduation certificates.

During the course of the 11-week academy, the participants learned about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, traffic stops, collision investigations, commercial vehicle enforcement, criminal investigations, drug investigations, dispatching and Trooper Island. Participants also took part in simulated traffic stops and a mock crime scene.
