Barbourville Woman Killed in a Collision in Trigg County

(Cadiz, KY.) -- The Kentucky State Police is investigating a two vehicle fatality collision that occurred on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at approximately 07:57 P.M. The collision occurred at the intersection of US 68 bypass and Canton Road, 2 miles west of Cadiz, KY.
Martha Taylor, 38 of Barbourville, KY was operating a 2004 Chevy Caviler westbound on Canton Road. Mary Dell, 49 and Jonas Dell, 15 both of Barbourville, KY were passengers. Taylor and Jonas Dell were flown to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for injuries sustained in the collision. No seatbelt were worn by the driver or passengers in the Taylor vehicle.
Kristena Gallimore, 44 of Dresden, TN was operating a 2011 Dodge Durango eastbound on US 68 bypass. Timothy Gallimore, 36 and Kaitlyn Gallimore, 12 both of Dresden, TN were passengers and all occupants were transported by Trigg EMS to Trigg County ER for minor injuries. The driver and passengers of the Gallimore vehicle were all wearing seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Preliminary investigation shows that for an unknown reason Taylor failed to stop at the stop sign and continued westbound into the intersection of US 68 bypass and was struck in the passenger side by the Gallimore vehicle.
Trigg County Coroner, John Mark Vinson, pronounced Mary Dell dead at the scene of the collision.
Trooper Nathan Clinkenbeard is continuing the investigation. Trooper Clinkenbeard was assisted on the scene by Trooper Jonathan Ward, the Trigg County Sheriff's Department, Cadiz Police Department, Trigg County EMS, and the Trigg County Coroner's Office.
