KSP Charge Juvenile in Reference to Bomb Threat at MCHS East Campus

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) -- KSP Detective Lloyd Ray has charged a juvenile in reference to the bomb threat that occurred at the East Campus of Muhlenberg County High School on Monday, March 04, 2013.

On Monday, March 11, 2013, at approximately 10:21 a.m., Det. Ray charged the juvenile with one count of Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree (Class C Felony) and one count of Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree (Class A Misdemeanor). The juvenile was lodged in the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Bowling Green, KY.

KSP Investigating Bomb Threat at High School

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) -- The Kentucky State Police is investigating a bomb threat at Muhlenberg County High School East Campus.

On Monday, March 04, 2013, at approximately 10:36 a.m., the KSP Post 2 Madisonville was contacted by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department in reference to a bomb threat at the East Campus of Muhlenberg County High School located at 2900 State Route 176, Greenville. A note had been discovered in a bathroom that stated a bomb was inside the school.

Emergency personnel from several agencies responded to the scene. Students were evacuated from the high school. A search of the school was conducted by K-9's from the KSP Special Operations Section. No explosives or explosive devices were located.

The investigation is continuing by the KSP. The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, the Muhlenberg County Police Department, the Greenville Police Department, the Central City Police Department, the Powderly Police Department, the Greenville Fire Department, Muhlenberg County Emergency Management, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
