Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Arrest

(Muhlenberg County) -- On March 22, 2013, at 9:35 P.M., Trooper Curtis Crick conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Ford Expedition for traffic violations. The operator, John Reid, was determined to be under the influence of drugs and placed under arrest. The Muhlenberg County K9 unit was called and the dog alerted on the passenger side door of the vehicle. Approximately two grams of suspected Methamphetamine, 68 Hydrocodone pills and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.

Jack Reid age 33 of Drakesboro, KY was charged with the following:

  1. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  2. Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified)
  3. Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine
  4. Operating a Motor Vehicle Under The Influence of Alcohol/Drugs 3rd Offense (Aggravated Circumstances)
  5. Careless Driving
