Kentucky State Police Make Arrest in Murder Investigation in Jackson County

(Mckee, KY) - On Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11:56 am EDT the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post responded to Clements Road to conduct a welfare check. Family members had not seen or spoken to the homeowner and were concerned.

Responding Troopers searched the house and located Gary "Bill" Mullins, 56 years old of McKee deceased. Initial investigation revealed that he had suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim has been transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

On Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 1:00 am EDT the detectives for the Kentucky State Police assigned to Richimond Post arrested Nolan Westley Rose, Jr. 33yrs of age, of Sand Gap, KY, charging him with Murder. He was transported to Jackson County Jail and lodged.

Detective Jeremy Hamm is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by other KSP personnel.
