Two Injured in a Collision on KY 15

(Campton, KY) -- On Tuesday August 20, 2013 at 3:13 p.m. Kentucky State Police Morehead was contacted by Wolfe County dispatch in reference to a single vehicle accident on KY 15, approximately 1 mile south of Campton. George Holland, 23 years old, of Campton, was operating a 1998 GMC Yukon southbound on KY 15, when the left rear tire blew out. Mr. Holland traveled off the southbound shoulder of the roadway, striking an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn. Mr. Holland was ejected from the vehicle during the collision. Both Mr. Holland and passenger, Tina Land, 34 years old, of Hyden, was taken to Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, with non life-threatening injuries. Mr. Holland is scheduled to be transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington for further testing. The accident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Morehead.
