Anonymous Tip Via Facebook Message Leads to the Arrest in Morgan County

(Ezel, KY) - On Monday, November 4, 2013 Kentucky State Police Morehead, received an anonymous tip via Facebook advising possible involvement of Tony Kegley Jr. in a hit and run collision that occurred on Saturday, November 2, 2013 near the community of Ezel. Through further investigation it was determined that Mr. Kegley owns a vehicle matching the description in the tip. On Tuesday, November 5, 2013 Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at Mr. Kegley's residence leading to the arrest of Mr. Kegley. Mr. Kegley has been arrested and charged with 2 counts of Manslaughter, 2nd Degree, Leaving the scene of an accident, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Mr. Kegley has been lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Jail. The collision remains under investigation by Detective Donnie McGraw.

Update: Two Pedestrians Killed on KY 1010 in Morgan County

(Ezel, KY) - The suspect vehicle is a Blue 2002 - 2005 year model GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab short wheel base pickup. The vehicle will have damage to the left front and the driver side rear tire is believed to be of smaller size than the other tires on the vehicle. Kentucky State Police in Morehead is requesting that anyone with information on this vehicle call (606) 784-4127.

Two Pedestrians Killed on KY 1010 in Morgan County

(Ezel, KY) - On Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at 7:04 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead responded to a fatal traffic accident on KY1010 near the Ezel community. Elizabeth Thornsberry, age 41, of Ezel and Tony Ross, age 48, of Clearfield were at Jaspers Bar in Maytown, KY. Mr. Ross left Jaspers Bar on foot and was followed by Mrs. Thornsberry in her 2001 Pontiac Bonneville traveling East toward Ezel. It is believed that Mrs. Thornsberry stopped and exited the vehicle to speak with Mr. Ross. Both Mr. Ross and Mrs. Thornsberry were standing in the westbound lane when a vehicle traveling West struck and killed Mr. Ross and Mrs. Thornsberry. The vehicle is believed to be a full size Blue GMC pickup with damage to the front grill and bumper. At this time the vehicle and driver have not been located. Kentucky State Police in Morehead is requesting that anyone with information on this investigation call (606) 784-4127. The incident remains under investigation by Detective Donnie McGraw.
