Rowan County Rest Area Robbery

(Morehead, KY) - On Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 at 2:11 A. M. Hours Kentucky State Police Post 8 received a complaint of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at the I-64 west bound rest area in Rowan County. KSP responded to the scene with the Morehead Police Department and ascertained that Gregory Noll (27 YOA) of Fairfax, Virginia attempted to rob the attendant by pointed a gun at him and demanding the attendant give him the keys to his vehicle. At some point during the attempted robbery Noll fired a shot at the attendant. Upon Trooper Aaron Brown's arrival an altercation ensued in which Noll was placed under arrest. Noll is currently lodged at the Rowan County Detention Center and was charged with Robbery First Degree, Wanton Endangerment First Degree, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon and Resisting Arrest. The case remains under investigation by Trooper Aaron Brown.
