Drug arrest in Knox County

(Girdler, Ky.) - On February 6, 2014 at 6:00p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a complaint that a vehicle was parked in the middle of the road on Prince Lane in Girdler and the driver was slumped over the steering wheel. Tpr. Jacob Wilson responded to the complaint and located the vehicle in the middle of the road running and in drive. The operator (Dennis Wagers) 59, of Barbourville was located in the vehicle and was unresponsive. During Tpr. Wilson's investigation he located 52 morphine pills, 40 xanax pills, 46 other assorted pills, and a small bag of marijuana.
Mr. Wagers is charged with the following:
- Improper Parking
- No Insurance
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
- Prescription not in Proper Container
- Possession of Marijuana
- DUI 2nd
Case is still under investigation by Tpr. Jacob Wilson.
