Rape Investigation in Knox County

(Barbourville, Ky.) - On April 7, 2014 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call from the Knox County Hospital concerning a female being raped. Trooper Chad Gregory responded to the hospital and began an investigation.

Preliminary Investigation indicates that Bobby Hill, 33, of Cannon assaulted and forcibly raped a white female in a remote location of Knox County. Mr. Hill then drove the female to a location in Flat Lick where he made her exit her own automobile. Mr. Hill then drove away in the victim's vehicle.

On April 8, 2014 Mr. Hill was located and arrested. He is charged with Rape 1st degree, Assault 2nd degree, Theft by Unlawful Taking (Automobile), and Unlawful Imprisonment. Mr. Hill was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

This case is still under investigation by Tpr. Chad Gregory. Tpr. Gregory was assisted at the scene by Tpr. Williams, Tpr. Partin, and the Knox County Sheriff's Department.
