Criminal Abuse Arrest in Knox County

(Girdler, Ky.) - On November 7, 2014 at 4:37 a.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan was contacted by the Knox County Social Services about a 5 year old girl being abused by her father. The mother of the child had taken her to Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin for treatment. Tpr. Jake Wilson responded to the hospital and began an investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates the 5 year old girl was living with her father in the Girdler community of Knox County at the time of the abuse. The small child had multiple bruises, cuts, and scabs from the abuse that covered her body.
Tpr. Wilson located the father of the child, Skyler Wilson, 25, of Williamsburg at 7:30 this morning and began interviewing him. Mr. Wilson admitted to abusing his child and was arrested by Tpr. Wilson.
Skyler Wilson was arrested and charged with 45 counts of criminal abuse 1st degree and assault 4th degree (child). Mr. Wilson was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
Case is still under investigation by Tpr. Jake Wilson.
