Assault 1st Investigation in Rockcastle County

(LONDON, KY.) - On Thursday, January 16, 2014, at approximately 2:06 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London was notified by the Rockcastle County 911 center of a shooting that occurred on Rogers Road in Rockcastle County.
Upon arrival Trooper Delzie Kelly learned through an investigation that Josh Bell, 25, of Brodhead had shot Brandon Robinson, 28, of Brodhead in the leg during an altercation between the two men.
Robinson was transported from the scene by ambulance to the Rockcastle County Memorial Hospital and later flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center and admitted with non-life threatening injuries.
Bell was arrested at the scene on an unrelated warrant and lodged in the Rockcastle County Detention Center.
Trooper Kelly is in charge of the investigation and will present the case to the Rockcastle County Grand Jury at a later date. Trooper Kelly was assisted at the scene by the Rockcastle County Sheriff's Office and the Rockcastle County EMS.
