Somerset Woman Killed in a Collision on KY 39

(LONDON, KY.) - On Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at approximately 12:46 AM, the Kentucky State Police Post 11 London received a report of a fatal two vehicle collision. The collision occurred on KY 39 in Pulaski County.
Upon arrival, Traffic Crash Reconstructionist Trooper Craig Reed, determined that Megan Williams, 30, of Somerset was operating a 2002 Mazada 626 southbound on KY 39. Williams struck a 2000 Peterbilt truck operated by Robert Middletown, 23, of Lexington, TN.
It was determined that the truck tractor was stuck in the ditch line with the trailer across both the north and south bound lanes of HWY 39.
Megan Williams was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner.
Trooper Reed is in charge of the investigation and was assisted by officers with Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Fire Safety Coordinator Tiger Robinson, Pulaski County Rescue Squad and the Dabney Fire Department.
