Drug Arrest and Investigation in Laurel County

(LONDON, KY.) - On Sunday, November 16, 2014 at approximately 12:35 AM KSP SGT Steve Walker was patrolling on Jackson RD in the Eastbernstadt community of Laurel County when he observed a 1997 Honda Accord driving in the center of the roadway.
After stopping the vehicle further investigation revealed that the passenger in the vehicle Andy D. Radford, 29, of Eastbernstadt had opened the door to the vehicle and dropped out 7 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine. Another passenger in the vehicle Jenny S. Vann, 33, of Eastbernstadt was found to be under the influence of drugs.
Radford was arrested at the scene and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Vann was arrested at the scene and charged with Public Intoxication and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
The operator of the vehicle was not charged with any crime.
KSP SGT Steve Walker continues the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Jason McCowan.
