Scott County Physician Arrested for Trafficking Controlled Substance

(Georgetown, KY) - On Thursday, January 22, 2014 Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Branch, assisted by KSP Post 12 and Scott County Sheriff's Department, arrested a Georgetown physician for Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st Degree.
The investigation stemmed from a complaint reported to Kentucky State Police in December 2013, stating crystal methamphetamine was being sold by a physician in Scott County. After conducting several controlled buys from the suspect, a search warrant of the subject's residence was executed, in which illegal narcotics were seized.
Dr. Robert B. Yost, age 48, Georgetown, KY was arrested and charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st (Methamphetamine) and Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st (GHB). Yost was lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Branch.
