(Hardshell, KY) - On Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at approximately 9:27p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a call of a possible missing person in Breathitt County. Relatives of Jeanette Sizemore, age 43 of Clayhole, KY, had concerns for her safety, advising that she hadn't been contacted since approximately 5:20p.m., earlier this evening. At approximately 2:54a.m., while patrolling KY 476, in the Hardshell community of Breathitt County, a trooper located a possible collision scene on the roadway. Paint transfer was also located on a tree that possibly matched the color of the car the victim was driving. Further investigation in this area led to the discovery of a car submerged in Troublesome Creek. The car, a silver 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, was pulled from the creek, and the occupant inside was identified as Jeanette Sizemore. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Breathitt County Coroner's Office. No foul play is suspected, and it is believed that icy road conditions were a contributing factor.
