Russell County Fatal Collision

(Russell Springs, KY.) - Tpr. Adam Likens is investigating a collision that occurred on Tuesday, August 12th at approximately 2:15 AM CST on KY 910, 10 miles south of Liberty. 31-year-old Joshua Hadley, of Liberty, was operating a 2006 Chevy 2-dr, traveling south on KY 910. Hadley failed to negotiate a curve, drove off of the roadway and struck a tree.

Hadley was transported to UK Medical Center where he remains in critical condition. A passenger, 49-year-old Deborah Padgett, of Russell Springs, was transported to Somerset Hospital and then transferred to UK Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. 26-year-old Misty Padgett, of Russell Springs, was transported to Casey County Hospital and the transferred to UK Medical Center. During transport, Misty Padgett coded and was taken to Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville where she was pronounced dead. All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Misty Padgett is the daughter of Deborah Padgett. Tpr. Likens was assisted by the Dunnville and Evona Fire Departments and Casey County Sheriff's Department.
