Lewisport Gathering Leads to Arrests

(Henderson, KY) - On Friday January 3rd, 2014, Kentucky State Police troopers received anonymous tip that minors were consuming alcohol beverages and smoking marijuana inside a residence located in the Skyline Trailer Park of Lewisport. On arrival, troopers detected a strong odor of marijuana and loud music coming from one of the residence in the Skyline subdivision. Upon entering the residence, troopers made contact with three young adults and four juveniles whom were all suspected of being under the influence of alcoholic beverages and/or marijuana. While inside the residence, authorities observed alcoholic beverages, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, all in plain view.
Troopers also cited the juveniles involved and contacted their parents.
Robert S. Carman, age: 18 of Lewisport was arrested and charged with: Person Possessing/Purchase or Have Another Purchase Alcohol; 4 Counts of Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 2nd Degree; 4 Counts of Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 3rd Degree; Possession Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia Buy-Possess and Failure to Notify Address Change with Department of Transportation.
Preston T. Veitch, age: 18 of Lewisport was arrested and charged with: Possessing/Purchase or Have Another Purchase Alcohol; Possession Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia Buy-Possess and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Jaclyn L. Peveler, age: 18 of Owensboro was arrested and charged with: Tampering with Physical Evidence and Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree (on foot).
The Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Lewisport Police Department and Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
