KSP makes Drug Arrest in Calloway County

(Murray, KY) - On 04/19/2014 at 8:24 am, Kentucky State Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Highway 641 South. During the traffic stop Trooper Jody Cash observed several indicators of criminal activities. Trooper Cash obtained consent to search of the vehicle from the driver. During the search, various items of drug paraphernalia, a substance believed to be Methamphetamine, and pills believed to be Dilaudid were located concealed in the vehicle. The operator, Jimmy L. Scott, 42 of Almo, KY, was arrested and charged with Speeding, No Insurance, Expired Registration, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Dilaudid), Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Original Container, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Scott was lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center. Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Calloway County Sheriff Department. The investigation continues by Trooper Jody Cash.
