Two Remaining Keeton Escapees Captured

(Nortonville, KY) - The two remaining escapees from the Keeton Correctional Center in Paducah have been captured. At approximately 6:00 AM on July 12th, the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip that Michael Houston and Joshua Barber were staying at a residence in the Nortonville Community of Hopkins County. Deputies along with Troopers from Post 2 in Madisonville converged on the residence and located both Houston and Barber in the back yard. Both were taken into custody without incident. Both men are charged with Escape 2nd Degree and are currently lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.

The two other escapees from Keeton Correctional Center were located on Thursday night near Henderson Kentucky. Zachary Clevenger and Stephen Vargason were located after another tip led to their discovery.

Two Escape from the Keeton Correctional Institution

(Paducah, KY.) - On July 7, 2014 at approximately 9:30 am, the Keeton Correctional Institution, located in Paducah, KY, contacted the Kentucky State Police, Post 1 Mayfield. The staff advised after a head count search, they discovered two inmates missing. Joshua A. Barber The first escapee, Joshua A. Barber, is described as a 28 year old white male, 5'7" with short brown hair. Mr. Barber was last seen wearing blue pants and a red, black and white polo shirt. He was serving time for Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Michael L. HoustonThe second escapee, Michael L. Houston, is described as a 28 year old white male, 5'9" with short brown hair. Mr. Houston was last seen wearing jeans and a black shirt. Mr. Houston was serving time for Manufacturing Methamephetamine and Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor.

The Kentucky State Police is investigating the escape. If anyone has any contact with these subjects, contact the Kentucky State Police, Post 1 Mayfield at 1-800-222-5555.
