Injury Collision Involving Paducah Officer

(Mayfield, Ky.) - Paducah Police Officer Travis Watson was traveling west on US 60 responding to a nonemergency call, when a 2009 Toyota Scion pulled into his path. The vehicle's operator, Everlene Rennaux of Metropolis, IL, was struck in the driver's side by Officer Watson. The driver, which had to be extricated from the vehicle, and a passenger, Kevin Rennaux, were both transported to Baptist Health with minor injuries. Officer Watson was transported to Baptist Health where he was treated and released.

Trooper Bale was assisted on scene by Paducah Fire Department, McCracken County Sheriff, and Mercy Ambulance Service. Ms. Rennaux was cited for Failure to Maintain Insurance. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Bale.
