Injury Collision on US 60 in Livingston County

(Hickory, KY) - Mr. Morris Driskill was traveling eastbound on US 60 near Silver Mine Road. Mr. Driskill was approaching a left hand curve in the roadway and for unknown reasons, ran off the right shoulder, into the ditch. Mr. Driskill struck a concrete drainage pipe with his front right wheel, causing his vehicle to flip over and in the process, ejecting Mr.Driskill through the driver's side window. The vehicle came to rest in the upright position on US 60. Mr. Driskill was found by passersby's, in front of his driver's side door, not breathing. They immediately started chest compressions on Mr. Driskill until he began to breathe again on his own. Livingston County EMS responded to the scene and he was airlifted from the scene by PHI to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville In.
Trooper Sullivan was assisted at the scene by Livingston County EMS, Livingston County Sheriff Office, PHI Air Medical, Burna Fire Department and Smithland Fire Department.
