UPDATE: KSP investigating Escaped Inmate from Marshall County Jail

(Benton, KY) – Mitchell C. McDonald turned himself in to the Kentucky State Police this morning at approximately 0830 AM. McDonald was charged with Escape 2nd degree (class D felony) and has been lodged into the Marshall County Detention Facility. The investigation into the escape continues by Trooper Cory Hamby.

KSP investigating Escaped Inmate from Marshall County Jail

(Benton, KY) – Mitchell C. McDonald walked away from a work detail at the Marshall County Detention Facility garage, where he was assigned to a work detail at around 1:00 PM. December 1, 2014. McDonald is a state inmate serving his sentence at the Marshall County Detention Facility for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a probation violation. McDonald is described as a 45 year old white male, standing 5'10" tall, weighs approximately 206 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes and a scraggly beard. He was last seen wearing blue jeans unknown shirt color. No further information is known at this time on the escape or his whereabouts.
