Two Vehicle Injury Collision On US 641

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on US 641, approximately six miles south of Marion, on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 3:25 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Eric A. Spalding, 49, of Princeton, was operating a 1997 Toyota Corolla northbound on US 641. Dennis R. Little Jr., 35, of Marion, was operating a 1993 Nissan passenger car southbound on US 641.

While attempting to pass another vehicle that was also traveling northbound, Mr. Spalding's vehicle struck Mr. Little's vehicle. Mr. Spalding's vehicle came to rest upright, off the road. Mr. Little's vehicle exited the right side of the road and struck a tree. It came to rest upright, off the road.

Mr. Little was transported via ambulance to the Crittenden County Hospital for treatment. Mr. Spalding was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. There were no passengers involved.

Trooper First Class Darron Holliman investigated the collision. The Crittenden County Sheriff's Department, a Crittenden County Constable, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and Crittenden County EMS assisted at the scene.
