KSP & Market Place "Team Up" for Cram the Cruiser

(Madisonville, KY.) – The Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville and Market Place have "teamed up" for Cram the Cruiser. On Friday, December 12, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., the KSP will be at Market Place located 1771 South Main Street in Madisonville for the event. During this time, people are encouraged to "cram the cruiser" with non-perishable food items.
The food will be distributed to local shelters, churches or other organizations serving those in need during the holiday season. Suggested donations include canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned soups, chili or spaghetti sauce, brownie and cake mixes, coffee, water, powdered milk and juices.
The Kentucky State Police kicked off their fifth annual 'Cram the Cruiser' food drive on Friday, November 21. The campaign extends through December 16, 2014 and is designed to collect non-perishable food items for families in need. KSP Post 2, located on the Western Kentucky Parkway, is a food collection site. Jordan’s Barber Shop located on West Depot Street in Greenville is also a collection site. Statewide, during the 2013 campaign, the KSP collected more than 124,000 pounds of food.
