Update: KSP Asking For Help In Double Homicide In Nelson County

(BARDSTOWN, KY.) - Kentucky State Police Post 04 investigators are asking for more assistance from the public in identifying potential suspects in the murders that occurred on April 21, 2014 at approximately 8:00 P.M. EST in Nelson Co. In approximation to this time period, a black Chevrolet Impala (see attached) was seen traveling Northbound on U.S. 150 from the Botland community into the city limits of Bardstown. KSP believes the occupant or occupants of this vehicle are suspect(s) and are requesting help in identifying who they are. Any information anyone has regarding this vehicle or pertaining to this investigation in general, please contact the Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown at 270-766-5078.

KSP Asking For Help In Double Homicide In Nelson County

Date of News Release: 04/25/2014

(BARDSTOWN, KY.) - Kentucky State Police Post 04 investigators are asking for assistance from the public in identifying potential witnesses to the murders that occurred on April 21, 2014 at approximately 8:00 P.M. EST in Nelson Co. In approximation to this time period three vehicles were seen traveling Northbound on U.S. 150 from the Botland community into the city limits of Bardstown. Description of the vehicles include a dark colored Ford F-350 or F-450 flatbed pickup truck pulling a 20-24 foot cattle trailer (see attached photo) as well as a 2006 or newer, four door, black Chevrolet Impala. The Impala looks identical to the stock photo that is attached. Also, a middle to late 1990's red Ford Ranger Super cab, stepside, pickup truck with aftermarket fenders and a sticker on the rear passenger side window (see attached photo). KSP believes the occupants of these vehicles may have witnessed something and want help in identifying who they are. Nelson County Death Investigation Ruled Double Homicide

Date of News Release: 04/23/2014

(BARDSTOWN, KY.) - Kentucky State Police Post 04 Troopers responded to a residence located at 5120 Springfield Rd on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at approximately 10:41 A.M. EST. in response to two deceased females found at that location. Kathy Netherland (48) and her sixteen year old daughter were both pronounced dead at the scene. Based on Investigations and autopsies performed this morning at the State Medical Examiner's Office, both deaths are being ruled as Homicides. The cause of death will not be released at this time. The KSP is asking that any citizen/business that is located between the Botland community and Bardstown that has recorded video surveillance of KY. 150 (Springfield Rd.) please contact KSP Post 4 at 270-766-5078.

KSP Working Death Investigation in Nelson County

Date of News Release: 04/22/2014

(BARDSTOWN, KY.) - On Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at approximately 10:41 A.M. EST, Kentucky State Police Post 04 Troopers responded to a residence located at 5120 Springfield Rd. in response to two deceased females found at that location. Kathy Netherland (48) and a juvenile female (16) were both pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsies will be performed tomorrow morning at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville. KSP is still on the scene investigating and further information will be released when available. KSP was assisted by the Nelson Co. S.O., Nelson Co. EMS and the Nelson Co. Coroner's Office.
