KSP Working Death Investigation In Hodgenville

(HODGENVILLE, KY.) - Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown is investigating a drowning death that occurred in Hodgenville on S. Lincoln Blvd. The body of Rose Akin (62) was found in a pond across from Larue County Middle School at approximately 8:00 P.M. EST on May 22, 2014. KSP Troopers responded to the victims address on on May 21, 2014 at approximately 3:00 P.M. EST after being notified by a relative that she was missing from the residence. Autopsy results from the State Medical Examiner's Office indicate drowning as the cause of death and no foul play is suspected at this time. Toxicology results are still pending. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Larue County EMS, Larue County Coroner's Office, Hodgenville P.D., Larue County S.O., and the Larue County Fire Dept.
