Henry County Man Arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine

(Smithfield, KY) - A Henry County man was arrested this afternoon after Troopers found methamphetamine and other drug related items in his home. Troopers from KSP Post 5 went to the home of Jeffrey Popp, 39 years old from Smithfield, KY, to assist with a child welfare visit. Once in the home, Troopers found approximately four grams of methamphetamine along with items used to sell the drug. Popp was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana. He was lodged at the Shelby County Detention Center. No children were present in the home at the time of the arrest.
