One Killed in Trimble County Crash

(Bedford, KY) - One person was killed yesterday (7/2) in a two-vehicle crash around the 4300 block of Highway 421 North in Trimble County. Kentucky State Police dispatchers received a call of the crash at 9:10 last night. Preliminary investigation shows that Nora Fremin, 19 years old from Carrollton, KY, was traveling south when she passed two vehicles in a no passing zone. As Fremin rounded a curve, the vehicle spun sideways into the path of a north-bound vehicle driven by Blake Webber, 21 years old from Lexington, IN. The front of Webber's vehicle struck Fremin's vehicle in the passenger side. Fremin, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Trimble County Coroner. Webber and a passenger in his vehicle, 22 year old Tyler Conley from Lexington, IN, were both transported to King's Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, IN for treatment of minor injuries. Webber and Conley were both wearing seatbelts.
Trooper Brandon Maupin, an accident reconstructionist, is leading the ongoing investigation. Trooper Maupin was assisted at the scene by the Trimble County Sheriff's Department, Bedford Fire Department, Milton Fire Department, and Trimble County EMS.
